Often, life is just about showing up. They say, give it your 110%, you must do xyz, then, it’ll work out. But really, it’s unrealistic. The only advice that will hold, is to show up.
You hang your objections on the coat rack, and tell yourself: hey, just do it, just for today, and everything will be ok.
You put aside your desires, your urges, and say, hey, I might not want to do this right now, but let me just show up.
Alcoholics in rehab aren’t taught to never drink again. All they are told, is to not drink today.
Don’t wait for divine inspiration. Don’t plan for forever. Just show up.
